Subject: The latest... - 11/14/94
Well... I suppose the most important news is that I have landed a job at CTS Network Services, as in jwigdahl@cts.com. That's right, I get to 'live' a minimum of 8 hours a day on the Internet... a dream come true.
Today was the first day and it was a rough one. First of all, just the adjustment from being new and all... and second, I didn't do much other than answer tech support phone calls and answer some support email, not exactly what I thought I was being hired to do. I'm going to have to tell them that I won't last if I'm stuck on the phones. I hope tomorrow is better...
The response I keep getting from Cyberbridge is, "Looking good..." so I dont' know what the deal is there... maybe something will pull through this week or next... the pay will be better and I won't be answering phones, so I can pretty much safely say tha t if they make an offer, I probably won't be able to refuse it.
As for the new company I am a partner in... it's still on the drawing board at this point, due to some unreturned phone messages (ahem, Doug), at least that I know of. I am still very excited about the prospects though and am hoping to see this thing become a reality.
So, overall, I'm kinda down at this particular moment, but I know things are going to get better here soon... please continue to keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I appreciate it.
