30 weeks…
I'm a little behind on getting news out of all the "goings on", but things are progressing just fine, and everything appears to be going "by the book". If you're interested in knowing what 30 weeks is like, check this out.
Jess and I have finished the "Childbirth Preparation" class and have started the "Getting Ready for Baby" class. The classes have been good.... informative and all, but I wouldn't say they've been surprising or thrown anything at us we weren't expecting.
Coming down to the wire has sparked some interesting conversations between Jess and I though. Like knowing in advance there will most likely be some "heated exchanges" between us.... for which I've promised to to my best not to do anything that would set her off, and asking for forgiveness in advance if I do do something bad.
Jess has been having some interesting dreams too. She always has had very vivid and bizarre dreams, but pregnancy seems to have added a new dimension to these. Lately she's had a couple of dreams about giving birth to a puppy.... and Abby becoming quite jealous as a result.
It's been really cool to start to really be able to see Maddie's movement from the outside. I've got to try that whole thing to see if she'll interact with an external light source...

I am just adding clarification on the whole “heated exchanges” issue James brings up. I basically am warning him in advance that during the actual delivery process, I might get really upset with him since I will be in so much pain. It is all his fault afterall! I warned him that no matter what I say, I still love him, but I did warn him not to say anything during delivery to make me upset! A tall order!!!
My birth dreams are improving however. I had two dreams where I gave birth to a puppy. It was a cute puppy! Then maybe two more dreams where it was actually a girl. The girl was light skinned with blonde hair and came out about 6 months old and fully talking. At least she was in human form. Last night I actually gave birth to a newborn baby… with brown hair and everything! The thing I like about my dreams is I don’t actualy go through the birthing process. She just kind of appears. Wouldn’t it be nice if it were really like that? If this child is over 6 pounds, I know that is all James’ fault… which gives me more of an excuse to let out my labor frustrations on him come that time!
