36 weeks…
Today was the 36 week checkup at the doctor's. Today we were with Dr. Silverman.
New Addiction
I have learned the true meaning of what it means to have an addiction. One of the baby shower gifts we received was really geared more for me... World of Warcraft. I had been putting off installing it for awhile until the aftermath of the shower had settled. I installed it this past Friday night figuring I would play a couple hours this nice, long Memorial Day weekend. Ha! Try more like 20-24 hours maybe? I dunno.... I lost track. Thanks a lot Chris!
Baby Shower
We had a GREAT baby shower on Saturday, May 21st. We really didn't want to do the traditional shower thing so we had a co-ed event and it was just more of an excuse to get together and socialize and hang out and anticipate Maddy than anything else. We had a great time and want to thank EVERYONE for their wonderful gifts! Jason got some great pics and had a little too much fun with his fish-eye lens.
What's been a real experience after the shower has been the assesment of what all we have, what we have too much of, and what we still need before Maddy gets here. You know, determining the "must haves" from the "nice to haves". Jess has sure got everything organized and has done a great job with this!
34 weeks…
Alright I have some catching up to do... the last couple weeks have been busy! This post will cover the 34 week doctor's appointment. Wanna know more about what things with Maddy are like at 34 weeks? Look here.
Coming to your senses…
Another story making the rounds in the news about a switcher. My question is, if you see the problem, why not do something about it before you get to the point that you lose data, have your system compromised, or for some reason or other get "mad as hell." It's common sense folks.... the question is why won't people follow it? Too much work? Aren't you really just putting off the work if you're going to end up doing it someday anyway?
Even the new CEO of Intel has said something interesting lately...
Midgets
I don't get what it is, but there's always been some fascination about midgets/dwarfs/small people. Anyway, I'm severely overdue on some blogging and what do I offer? Something my brother-in-law sent me this morning. Crazy.
RPM & APT: Let’s get it right folks…
I'm sick and tired of all these articles commentaries I read where Debian users argue that apt-get is soo much better than RPM because of dependency resolution blah blah blah. Stop comparing apples and oranges!!! Let's all say it together now:
deb is to RPM...
as apt-get is to yum
RPM is NOT a package management system. Is is a package format! Yum/up2date is a package management system...
Vacation summary…
Jess and I got to take a week off last week and went to the WorldMark Las Vegas to spend some time and use up some of our WorldMark points....
Home-theatre tricked out in marble, velvet and curliques
Wow do I want this.... (from BoingBoing)
Home-theatre tricked out in marble, velvet and curliques:

A home-theatre enthusaist completely tricked out his personal screening room with enough red velvet, marble, gilt and curliques to outfit a the bathrooms on the entire high-rollers' floor at Caesar's Palace. The site includes a build-log with tons of photos. Link
Even Stormtroopers must pee.
I just love this too much.... (from BoingBoing)
Does Stormtrooper body armor come with a zipper fly? I'm still not sure, but this is certainly one of the finest Star Wars fan-culture photos I've seen.
32 weeks…
Today we had another visit to the doctor's office, and all is going pretty much by the book...
