36 weeks…
Today was the 36 week checkup at the doctor's. Today we were with Dr. Silverman.
Another easy appointment really. Was a quick check but a bit more "invasive" I guess you could say. It started with the usual vitals reading. Jess is still not comfortable with her weight gain, but I do my best to keep assuring her that it's all going to be fine and that she's still the cutest thing I've ever seen... (I suspect she's only got about a month left of that though 
) The doctor determined that Maddy is presently head down and had a pulse of 143.
This, being 1 month before the due date, is the appointment where Jess is checked for group B strep and the cervix is checked for position, effacement, and dilation. Everything is going, as you guessed it, right by the book. Jess is 1cm dilated, 50% effaced, and the baby's at -3 station... which I guess is normal for this time. Once more week and Maddy is considered "full term" so we're looking like the countdown has begun!
