39 weeks…
Well we have about a week left before Madeline is due. So many feelings to deal with: excitement, anxiety, trepidation... how to deal with it all? To find out about the latest with the baby, read this. We had our latest weekly doctor's appointment today... to find out more read on.
We started having weekly doctor's appointments a few weeks ago and it's been tough keeping you all updated on some of the things going on. The short of the status of things is that nothing has really changed in 3 weeks, and there's really no signs that the baby will be making an appearance anytime soon. We're hopeful we'll see something soon, but we've made an appointment for week 40 just in case nothing has happened yet. We'd like to see her sooner than later, and Jess is even talking about inducing on the 29th if she isn't here yet. After 37 weeks things are all good so I'm fine with whenever.
We got our car seat / infant carrier... the one that goes with (snaps into) our stroller... the Primo Viaggio by Peg Perego. I read the installation manual thoroughly before starting and spent some time putting in the car seat since I've read that car seats are installed wrong 80% of the time. Also, we made an appointment to have the car seat inspected to be sure it was done right. Jess was intent on finding something I had missed or done wrong in the installation, but reluctantly admitted that the inspector said I had done things exactly right!
We actually ventured out to a movie this past weekend (Mr. & Mrs. Smith... good flick!) and apparently Jess had a couple contractions during the movie, but didn't bother to tell me until afterwards as she didn't want me to panic. When we got home, I immediately proceeded to finish off the packing of our bag for the hospital, got the cameras together, batteries charged, etc.
So it's really just a waiting game now... could be any day, could be a week or more. It's so hard to be patient!
