Carrying on the Buscema Line….
My little girl is so perfect! You know she takes after my side of the family when you can take her shopping all day and she doesn't even fuss! Maybe it is the smell of new clothes, the feeling of victory knowing mommy has new clothes in her hands, or the oohs and aahs she gets from those passing by! Since she seems the happiest while at a mall, I suppose I have an excuse to go several times a week!
On a different note, I did a terrible thing today. My parents took the week off of work and decided to take us girls out for lunch. Of course my parents were arguing over who got to hold her or sit next to her in the car. When we arrived home, my mom snatched her up and held her for awhile. After throwing up all over her (I taught her well) and then falling asleep, I decided that this would be the perfect opportunity to clip her nails. I got my special baby nail clippers out, carefully started clipping them and got through about the fifth nail. Then I noticed a bit of blood! Oops! Obviously I had clipped a little more than just her nail! At least Nonnie (my mom) was holding her, so maybe she won't think it was me!
Maddie will be 7 weeks old tomorrow and she is an absolute joy. I don't always feel that way at 3:00 am, but seeing her cute little face always makes me happy. She is smiling a lot now. We have some "smiley" pictures of her up in the photo gallery.
Well, I have been so busy in posting this, that she will actually be 10 weeks old this week! Here is the latest...
She weighed in at 9 pounds exactly last week (her two month check-up) and was 22 inches long. She is on the lower side of the percentiles, but I am not at all surprised. If she is short, that must be James' fault.
Maddie smiles a lot. There should be a few pictures of her with big toothless grins on this site. I love it! She is always smiling when I get her in the morning! She giggles a little too. She actually slept 8 hours the other night. I am hoping it was not just a fluke!!! She makes me so happy every day and it is a little weird to imagine life without her. She is such a joy!
She loves being held in the Baby Bjorn. She made it through a whole entire church service for the first time last week. She just sleeps the whole way through. I love it when she is sleeping in my arms. I just stare at her and smile. James and I "argue" sometimes over who gets to hold her during church services. We both love her so much.

Don’t worry I gave Ariel a little numb the first time I clipped her nails to. It all grows back..at least I hope
