I’ve Lost It
I know my husband probably made that statement about me years ago, but now I finally agree with him. If you search through the blogs, you will see there is one about my diaper bag dilemma. I thought I had solved the problem, but it has come back to haunt me.
I think I have bought and returned about 5 diaper bags now. I love them in the store, but then I bring them home for a trial run and realize that it just won't work! My latest purchase was a Lands End bag I found on clearance from Sears. I fell in love with it immediately. It has SO many storage compartments. Everything is well organized and there is even room to spare! I thought it was perfect. Fortunately I am a nut and didn't take the tags off the bag yet.
I went out the other day to run some errands (one of the them included returning a different diaper bag) and realized that this new Lands End bag just didn't cut it. I was so sad. Since the bag is a tote style and doesn't have one main over the shoulder strap, it doesn't hang on our stroller evenly. As a result, I hit my knee on the bag when I walk. And when the bag is on the stroller, it is very difficult to get things in and out of it. Did I tell you that I am so in love with this bag despite its little downfalls!
I thought my search was finally over. Boy was I mistaken. I want something really cute and not so "diaper bag" looking, but I am think I am going to have to forego that. There is another Lands End bag that I like, but I have not been able to find it in person. Since I can't seem to like any of the bags I find, I am so hesitant to order it online without having seen it first. Here is the bag.
There are some others I saw at Baby Depot, but I have heard they have a terrible return policy. I want to drag James up there to check them out first, but it is difficult to get him into a store that he has no interest in. At least at Target they have CDs and DVDs... I will have to figure out a way to trick him into going.
So, I am back to the diaper bag blues. If anyone happens to see the Do-It-All-diaper bag in the Sears store (since they are the only retailer to actually carry the Lands End products) let me know immediately!!!
