Cool deal. I’ve heard lots of talk about whether XP will be able to boot on Intel Macs (OSX for Intel uses EFI, not BIOS), but I’ve got a better idea. How about some sort of compatiblilty layer (darWINE??) that would allow Windows programs to run directly from OSX without the need to boot up XP? (Of course, I’m assuming that people are only installing XP because they need to run some Windows-only program, not because they prefer XP to OSX). The possible downside (for Apple) would then be the reverse — XP (or Vista) users with the ability to run iMovie, iPhoto, FCP, etc. at full speed on their Dell.

I guess we’ll see.
